Rev Dr Jean Luc Enyegue SJ is a Jesuit from Cameroon. He obtained his PhD from Boston University. Currently, he is the Director of the Jesuit Historical Institute in Africa. His research is focused on the History of Christianity and Jesuit History in Africa. Some of his recent research include the Jesuit Mission in the Gulf of Guinea and West Africa. He has also authored several articles, including the Jesuits in Fernando Póo, 1857-1972: An Incomplete Mission! (Brill 2015). Dr Enyegue also lectures Medieval and Modern Church history at Hekima University College.

Mr Geoffrey Obatsa is the Administrative Assistant at The Jesuit Historical Institute in Africa. His core duty is to provide administrative support to the institute. He is also the head of the library department where he also works on digital conservancy of documents and the maintenance and expansion of the Africa Thesis Bank and the Jesuit Sources in Africa. He is a graduate of JKUAT with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Certificate in Counselling Psychology from the Tec Institute of Management.

Mr Philip Opiyo is a full-time Office Assistant and Librarian at JHIA and takes part in the process of cataloging books, documents, binding and restoring damaged books. He holds a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Kenya University in Nairobi.
